Monthly Visit No.3

Different sort of visit this month, as I visited Hidcote Manor Garden. Hidcote Manor Garden is a National Trust garden in the north Cotswolds, Gloucestershire, England. It was created by Major Lawrence Johnston between 1907 and 1937. The garden is known for its "rooms" of hedges, rare trees, shrubs and herbaceous borders. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the Cotswolds.

There were plenty of flowers and herbaceous borders on display, including this Peony…

Peony flower

Peonies are large, showy flowers that are native to Asia and Europe. They are prized for their beauty and fragrance, and are often used in landscaping and bouquets. Peonies come in a variety of colors, including white, pink, red, yellow, and purple. They bloom in the spring, and their flowers can last for several weeks. Peonies are relatively easy to care for, and they can be grown in most climates.

Of course, it wasn’t all just flowers on display at Hidcote Manor. There were plenty of hedges as well.

At Nature’s Palette Photography, it is important to capture nature as it is, including with buildings in the photo. At Hidcote Manor, there were these lovely flowers up against the wall, with the thatched roofed building behind.

And of course, there has to be the obligatory landscape photo.
